NOTE: This list does not include every entity that supports embryonic stem cell experimentation. The two primary sources of the information herein are: 1) a July 29, 1999, letter signed by each group and addressed to then-Rep. John Edward Porter, who was Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies; and 2) a January 1, 2007, letter sent to all Members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives in support of the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, which would have expanded and provided taxpayer dollars for embryonic stem cell experimentation. (The bill was passed by Congress but vetoed by President George W. Bush.)
